HBH Walk on August 4, 2016

Walk of Oyster-Watcha Midlands Preserve on August 4, 2016 from 9 to 11 am

Sheriff's Meadow Foundation invites the Henry Beetle Hough Society for a walk of the Oyster-Watch Midlands Preserve in Edgartown. This Preserve is not typically open to the public, and Director of Stewardship Kristen Fauteux will share her knowledge of the Preserve's unique flora. To reach the Preserve, from the junction of Barnes Road and the Edgartown-West Tisbury Road, head towards Edgartown on the Edgartown-West Tisbury Road, then take the first right onto Oyster-Watcha Road. Follow signs to the start of the walk. The walk will begin at 9:00 am and last 2 hours. Please wear rugged clothing and sturdy shoes. Please contact the Sheriff's Meadow Office at (508) 693-5207 to pre-register.

Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation is very fortunate to have many loyal, generous friends who support our organization financially. We thank all of our donors for their generous financial support. We are also very fortunate to have a number of donors who support us with gifts of $500 or more on an annual basis. We welcome all of these donors to our Henry Beetle Hough Society.

The Henry Beetle Hough Society is named after the visionary founder of Sheriff's Meadow Foundation.  Society members are invited to special events and gatherings that are not otherwise available to the public. In the past, we have held guided nature walks on lands on which we hold conservation restrictions, and we have also held guided kayak outings. For donors, membership in the Henry Beetle Hough Society offers a greater level of recognition, it offers a chance to meet and spend time with fellow supporters of Sheriff’s Meadow, and provides an opportunity to meet the Board and staff and to become more involved in the work of our organization.
