Annual Meeting held on June 16, 2023

The Board of Directors of Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation held its Annual Meeting at the Wakeman Conservation Center in Vineyard Haven on Friday, June 16, 2023.

At the meeting, the Board elected Officers, Directors, and members of the Executive Committee.

The Board elected George Ahl, Janet Baker, Susan Crampton, and Chris Miller to first, three-year terms as Directors. Biographies of new Directors are included in this newsletter.

The Board re-elected Chris Alley, Susannah Bristol, Tara Gayle, Lizzie Horvitz, Aileen Roberts, Carla Taylor-Pla, and Alec Walsh to second, three-year terms as Directors and re-elected Peter Brooks, Lisa Foster, and William Plapinger to third, three-year terms as Directors. Adam Moore was elected to a one-year term as a Director. The Board elected Alan Rappaport to a one-year term as Chair. Susannah Bristol was elected to a one-year term as Vice Chair; Peter Brooks was elected to a one-year term as Treasurer; Alec Walsh was elected to a one-year term as Clerk; and Adam Moore was elected to a one-year term as President. These Officers, with the exception of the President, were elected to serve on the Executive Committee, along with Directors Mary Lou DeLong, William Plapinger, and Sara Tucker.

The Board bade a fond farewell to departing Directors Nancy Randall and Tom Robinson, both of whom served for nine years on the Board, and to Ellen Harley, who served for ten years on the Board.
