4-H Club
4-H is a global network of youth organizations dedicated to “engaging youth to reach their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development.” On Martha’s Vineyard, 4-H has a longstanding presence, offering clubs that focus on areas such as agriculture, STEM, healthy living, and civic engagement. These volunteer-run clubs provide accessible, hands-on learning experiences for children aged 5 to 18, fostering curiosity and community involvement.
In partnership with the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society, Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation proudly sponsors the “Winging It!” 4-H club. Led by our staff members Catherine Hall and Noah Froh, this club is designed for youth aged 8 to 12 who have an interest in birding, trail stewardship, conservation, and environmental science. Participants engage in activities such as guided bird walks, habitat restoration projects, and educational sessions that deepen their understanding of local ecosystems. Through these experiences, members develop skills in environmental stewardship and contribute positively to their communities.

For more information about the “Winging It!” 4-H club, please contact Catherine at hall@sheriffsmeadow.org. Please note that the 2024-2025 club is full.
