Karen Swett Conway has been a part-time resident of Martha’s Vineyard for 30 years. Karen is an architect by training.
Karen currently serves on the board of the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and the Telluride Foundation. She also played a pivotal role in establishing the nonprofit firm MASS Design Group as a leader in the field and continues to serve on its board. Most recently, she concluded a nine-year term on the board of the National Park Foundation. Karen is deeply passionate about the environment and design and how it impacts our world.
Karen and her husband, Brian, divide their time between Martha’s Vineyard and Santa Barbara. They have four children and four grandchildren who all share a deep love for the island community. Outside of her professional work, Karen enjoys cooking, reading, and exploring the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
