Learn about Walking Poles

Two experts will demonstrate how you can use walking poles for greater balance, strength, and stability at two free sessions on Wednesday, June 12, at Polly Hill Arboretum, 795 State Road, West Tisbury.

The morning session from 10-11:30 is open to anyone who’s interested in trying out walking poles. The afternoon session from 1-2:30 is geared toward professionals, volunteers, and family members who want to help people with limited mobility be able to enjoy the outdoors more safely.

There will be specially designed walking poles to try, along with refreshments, maps, and suggestions for easy island walks. No admission or advance registration is needed, and all skill levels are welcome. For more information, email trailsmv@sheriffsmeadow.org.
