Join SMF President, Adam Moore, Saturday, March 16th from 10 AM – 12 PM to explore West Chop Woods. Encompassing nearly 90 acres of primarily pitch pine forest and oak woodlands, West Chop Woods is located at the northern end of Vineyard Haven, a peaceful shady sanctuary. The main trail is part of an old cart path known as Lighthouse Road, which once connected Vineyard Haven with the lighthouse at West Chop. Several other intersecting trails make for a relaxing ramble. Wear sturdy walking shoes for a walk over mostly level, but sometimes uneven, terrain.
