Since the 2022 hunting season is now underway, we’d like to provide information to help you navigate your walks in the woods. Hunting begins half an hour before sunrise, ends half an hour after sunset, and is not allowed on Sundays. We recommend wearing blaze orange for visibility. (Order your blaze orange beanie today!)

Hunting is not allowed on these Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation properties that are open to the public: Bittersweet Hill, Brightwood Park, Caroline Tuthill Preserve, Eastman and Knapp Preserves, Huckleberry Barrens, Nats’ Farm, Packard Preserve, Roth Woodlands, Sheriff’s Meadow Sanctuary, Slater Preserve, Hal & Olive Tilghman Preserve, Wallen, Preston, & Shands Preserve, and West Chop Woods.
